It is possible that your web browser does not enable the IT Hit Tool automatically after the installation.
Remedy:
- Mozilla Firefox:

- Open your Account settings by clicking on the circle above your name in the top left
- Select English under Language
- Reload the page (function key F5 or the corresponding button on your browser)
The spelling checker in the fields depends on the used browser. In Google Chrome, the spell checker is turned on automatically.
- In Mozilla Firefox the English spell checker is installed.
- For German spell checking you have to install the German dictionary, see https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-use-firefox-spell-checker.
- To download a certain version of a document, click the action menu at the top right and choose Get Version:
A dialog window shows all versions of the current document for you to choose.
- If there are more than five versions of the document, you have to open the versions using the filter symbol at the top right:
- Proceed as usual.
If you see the grey bar next to the main menu after logging into IP Now, you have to do the following once to remove the bar:
1. Click on the blue work area.
2. Set the pin needle in the lower area.
Many email programs such as Outlook store additional information for the e‑mail address when storing an email to a file.
For example, the address “first.last@company.de” will be extended to “First Last (first.last@company.de)”. This information cannot be used by IP Now, especially because different mail programs extend or change the email address differently.
To send an email, this additional information has to be deleted manually.
For de-activating permanently the preview page for documents
- in Chrome:
- Open any PDF file.
- Click the button “Download/edit current version”.

- Click on “View it inside the browser”.

- Click on “ViewResult”.

- Close the browser window and refresh your document.
- in Firefox:
- Open a new browser tab.
- Enter the URL about:config.
- In Search preference name, enter pdfjs.sidebarViewOnLoad.
- Enter the value 0.
There is a central setting to show or hide scroll bars. To show scroll bars, open System Preferences, select General and set Show scroll bars to Always.

When using the Firefox browser for IP Now it can happen that documents are not displayed (blank white sheet) and instead only the download takes place.
- To correct this, you need to define in the Firefox browser settings in the “Files and Applications” section for individual file types how they are to be opened.
- Select “Open in Firefox” for PDF and, if necessary, also for Word documents:

To ensure that the PDF files generated in IP Now (including the PDF preview) are generated correctly, including the fonts used, the Word option > Save > Embed fonts in the file must be activated in the Word template files. In addition, the two associated sub-options should be activated in order to reduce the file size of the basic templates and thus of the documents based on them.
